The Sunday post comes to you courtesy of Caffeinated Reviewer. Here's where many book bloggers catch up after a long week and get excited for things to come!
Good evening! I'm sorry for the semi-late Sunday post; I've been working rather long hours this week, and got a tad burnt out mentally. However, I'm extremely happy you're visiting. Let's get into it, then!
What I've Done This Week
While last week was calm and quiet, I feel like this one was PACKED! As mentioned, I've been working a bit extra this week. I absolutely love my job, so believe me, I'm not upset at all. However, this has cut into my reading time quite a bit, so I have to adjust my reading goals for the month slightly.
I finished two paintings this week! Remember that Mad Tea Party painting I teased forever ago? Well, I FINALLY finished that one. The second painting was inspired by my roommates very shimmery beta fish. I had a lot of fun with this one!
I also decompressed after work with some video games. Of course, I'm still playing Animal Crossing New Leaf daily. I want my favorite villagers to join my new town, but I feel bad letting my lesser-loved villagers move out. What if they think I hate them? I don't want anyone to feel left out! I'm in a whole moral dilemma here...
Hitman Absolution is on Game Pass for Xbox right now, and I've been in need of a dose of nostalgia. I started playing this game after work one night... and then it was suddenly 4 am. Needless to say, it's been a blast. It's been many years since I've played a Hitman game. I don't think this one stands up to the two on the original Xbox, but it still has the same general vibes. This one is more formulaic than I'm used to, but it's clearly piggy-backing off of the success Assassin's Creed had at the release time.
This Week At A Glance
This week at Food For Thought, we...
I'm so terribly close to finishing the three books from last week's Sunday post. It's quite likely I could finish all three within one day. In fact, that's my goal tomorrow! Reviews a-plenty are coming your way!
In addition, I will be picking up Catching Fire, Mockingjay, and a few ARCs I've been sitting on. I'm not going to make my reading plans this week too rigid, because flexibility is how I thrive. I was a bit bad and purchased a new book today, so The Grace Year by Kim Liggett may weasel it's way into my plans. Only time will tell. (The book store was closed, so I had to settle with a Target copy with a stupid permanent sticker on the cover. Bleh.)
Thanks for visiting! What are you planning to read in the coming days? I hope you have a great week!
